Funny Advert - Potato is Not Fattening

Another vintage advertisement from 1977.

Is potato really good for you?

Some experts say ‘Potatoes are good for you as long as you prepare them in a healthy manner.’ They will be quick to mention that boiled and baked potatoes are good for you, while French fries and potato chips are not. A good part of the supporting facts come from the analysis of the potato itself and what potato contains and its usefulness.

A recently concluded long-term (over 20 years) research by Harvard found that among all the foods studied, potatoes stood out. French fries and potato chips are fattening, but for every other type of potato serving (mashed, baked and even boiled potatoes), people will gain a pound over four years with an additional serving to their regular diet each day.
I am never a potato person, and will not become one. My advice to people who like potatoes: Just go easy on the potatoes -- or better yet, go without.
And I like to repeat, this is just an advice.
